Using gold, silver, and platinum were the old-style wedding bands. But these days, more and more partners select tungsten rings the reason that it can be long lasting and lasts for years. Yet, lots of people are not worried about the points necessary regarding searching wedding rings. As I’ve said the bands have very important part inside the wedded life and may even ‘t be really expensive. Listed here are some points you should think about when selecting tungsten rings:

Manifestation of your metal- When you really want the high-quality one then, learn first if the ring was made with a finer nickel-binder alloy rather than made from pure tungsten or with a cobalt-binder alloy. Nickel-binder tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic, very hard, and therefore scratch-resistant.

Design and style- There are numerous different styles of tungsten bands that are offered for both of you. The more intricate the detail of the ring the more attractive it is. And the fact that tungsten is scratch-resistant means that even a delicate design will stay unaffected for years. Still you can modify it if you choose to.

Affordability- Just about all people are looking for a high value though on a tight budget. There are different sorts of tungsten rings available in the market and are existing in a reasonable price range.

Excerpts Of Wedding And Proposal Stories

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Glenn and I met at a mutual friends’ house one night 7 years ago. It was definitely love at first sight as we have never left each others’ side since and are still so blissfully happy as when we first met. Glenn proposed on Valentine’s Day 2007, 5 years later, at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens after a picnic lunch in lush surrounds with the background of flowing water. It was such a surprise and the most memorable experience of my life.

I was on an Oktoberfest tour in Germany and Ben was my tour guide. I thought he was very good looking and full of personality as I’m sure did most of the girls on the tour. We chatted on the bus home and he mentioned that he had moved out of his share house in London and needed a place to stay or “doss” (backpacker term). I offered my lounge room and he took me up on it and the relationship grew from there. We stayed in London a couple more years and then backpacked around USA, Canada and Sth America before heading home. Whilst in Peru in South America we decided to trek the Inca Trail. After five days of very little sleep, very little food and heaps of walking we reached machu picchu the famous Inca ruins. It was here at sunrise overlooking the ruins that Ben asked me to marry him. Exhausted as we were it was a beautiful proposal and of course I said yes!

We decided to have an autumn wedding, a year after Pierre proposed. I had dreamed of my wedding since I was a little girl so I was eager to start planning. I had in my mind the dress Ii always dreamed of, the typical princess dress. After a day of trying on wedding dresses, the last wedding dress I tried on was perfect, once I had it on I knew this was the dress. The wedding dress was embroidered with Swarovski crystals and had a train that was over a meter long. The Bridesmaids wore melon pink backless gowns embroidered with Swarovski crystals. The groomsmen wore light gray suits with a crisp white shoe which complimented the bridesmaids dresses. The whole theme I wanted for our wedding was classy, elegant and chic.

We quickly decided on a wedding date and everything just seemed to fall into place over the next eight months! We knew that we didn’t want to spend a fortune on our wedding, so we got creative! We found a wonderful venue, secured a great cake maker and enlisted a fantastic florist. I ordered my gorgeous wedding dress; started making the jewellery for myself, my mum, the bridesmaids and flowergirl; and then we found family and friends to complete the picture!

Heath proposed to me while on holiday in England with my family at Christmas in 2005. Everyone had said ohhhh he will ask you for sure when you go home! But I wasn’t so sure! But he did!!!! It was so beautiful and so very sweet! He asked me the day before we left to come back to Australia while out for lunch with my mum and dad! He turned to my Dad and said I love your daughter very much and I would like to ask your permission to marry her!!! And then he turned to me and asked me! I just couldn’t stop smiling!!! All the way home, you couldn’t get the smile off my face!!!

We then had six to seven months to arrange our wedding and wow what a wedding it was. We had four ceremonies and two receptions. Two ceremonies were in Persia in August 2007, it was amazing. We held the reception at our own house where we hosted 200 people with the help of a professional catering and party planning company. The entire house and garden were glowing with lights. We walked across the red carpet to reach the guest’s and went straight on the dance floor … even though I thought I wouldn’t be able to dance because of my dress but I was so happy that nothing could stop me, we danced for the entire night and still around 3 am I had lots of energy and could have gone for marathon run.

How To Find The Perfect Diamond Engagement Ring

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Finding the perfect diamond engagement ring for the woman you love can be an anxious time. You want to ensure that she will love the ring so you want to make sure you do not make any mistakes when looking over all of the different kinds of diamond rings. When you start your shopping for the perfect ring, you should have the knowledge about what to look for to help you narrow your search. Below are a few tips to selecting the perfect diamond engagement ring:

1. The key to picking the best diamond for the ring is to understand the 4 C’s of diamond buying. The 4C’s stands for Color, Carat, Cut, and Clarity. Diamond carat is the measure of its weight. The carat weight is a determining factor in the price of the diamond which is helpful to know if you have to keep to a strict budget. The cut of a diamond means the angles and proportions that are created when the rough diamond is polished. Diamonds that have the following features: sparkling, have a quality reflection, do not contain any flaws, and are clear, will be assessed as a high quality diamond and will be quite expensive.

2. When it comes to diamond rings, there are many shapes and styles available. A relatively new shape called the ‘Princess Cut,’ is becoming quite popular. The Princess Cut is called a square/rectangular modified diamond. The most popular diamond shape is the round diamond. Other fancy shape diamonds include: heart, marquise, oval, pear, emerald, elongated, radiant and heart. There are even diamond rings that come as a single stone and rings with more than one stone in the setting.

3. It is important to find out the size of ring she wears. There are ring sizers that you can order to help you determine the right size ring to buy. You can also ask her friends and family for help on the ring size. As well, you can also temporarily borrow one of her rings and take it to the jewelry store or use a printable ring chart available on many jewelry websites. Another tip to determining her ring size is to press one of her rings into a small bar of soap such as hotel soap to get an imprint of the ring. Use a ring sizer to match the imprint.

4. It is important to select the right setting for a diamond ring. Different types of settings include White Gold, Yellow Gold, and Platinum. You also have to consider the quality of the metal such as 18K or 14K. Platinum will require periodic polishing. You also have to decide the best setting such as a single diamond setting, a cluster of small diamonds, or a three diamond setting. There are solitaire settings with 4 prongs, 6 prongs and bezelled settings.

When you begin shopping for a diamond engagement ring, the choices can be overwhelming. If you take the time to learn about the different types of diamond engagement rings that includes the type of metal and available styles, it will make the ring buying experience much less stressful. When you know what type of rings the special woman in your life prefers and you understand how diamonds are assessed and priced, the result will be a ring she will love and a sound investment.
