Harry Potter mania will be high again this Christmas season, as “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1″ will be in theaters. The Deathly Hallows is the 7th and last book of the collection. Part 2 is due to be released in July of 2011. If you are looking for a present for a younger Harry Potter enthusiast, you will want to purchase LEGO Harry Potter Hagrid’s Hut.
The set includes Hagrid’s Hut, which has a light up fire place, and furnishings such as chairs, a table, a stove, as well as pans and pots. The characters used in this set include all of your favorites from the story, plus needless to say, Hagrid himself. And no visit to Hagrid’s hut would be complete without a magical creature or two lurking within the shadows.
This Lego collection includes Hagrid’s pet dragon, Norbert, and Aragog, the gigantic spider who has been Hagrid’s pet throughout his school term at Hogwarts.
The set allows for reenactments of scenes throughout book two, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Within this story we learn just a little of Hagrid’s youth at the castle, and meet his pet spider, Aragog, and Harry, Ron and Hermione watch as the infant Norwegian Ridgeback, Norbert, hatches from the egg Hagrid has received from a mysterious stranger. Aragog plays a noteworthy part in book six, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Of course, Hagrid and his hut feature prominently within the Harry Potter series, hence the possibilities for creative play are practically limitless.
The estimated age group for the collection is 7 to 14 years of age, but younger kids may also want to enjoy this set. It is not well suited for small children under 3 since there are tiny pieces which may result in choking. There are a lot of older Harry Potter admirers who would probably appreciate acquiring the Hagrid’s Hut LEGO set for Christmas in 2010 as well.
