Gatherings are nice to look forward to because it allows people to meet again after some time. There are cases when friends and family members are barely able to keep the communication lines open at all, so the reconnection is overwhelming, making the event a very memorable one. Even a simple chitchat is already considered to be a breath of fresh air from all the activities you are entangled with, especially if it’s a random encounter at a mall, a coffee shop, or anywhere. Meanwhile, randomness aside, what builds up the excitement is when a get-together is planned way ahead for friends and family members alike. The anticipation surely could kill and days would seem longer than usual, but when you’re all finally there, the wait is worth it. So, fast forward to when things are over and done with, surely there are memories to be brought as they go their separate ways. Others might be content with reminiscing, some will exchange numbers and e-mail addresses with promises to keep in touch. Objects as tokens are also nice memory keepsakes – think of unique wedding favors after a reception.
Thus, it is best to bring a souvenir home like unique wedding favors to be able to remember those special moments of love.
Oftentimes, wedding guests give their well wishes to the couple by congratulating them personally, by giving presents they could use when starting out, or by small donations. Aside from verbally giving thanks to the people who have witnessed and supported the celebration of their union, the couple also has other options in thanking all the well- meaning individuals who attended and all those whose efforts have helped them pull off a successful wedding: their very own unique wedding favors.
Unique wedding favors are handed out by the couple to show their gratitude to the guests for attending the event. This will go well with verbal thank you’s and sincere words of appreciation. Exercise your creativity and bring it a notch higher. After all, it is your day, thus everything should reflect what you both are to add the ‘me’ factor. The guests on the other hand are obliged by themselves alone to give presents to the couple to give them a head start to their new journey in life. They usually come in the form of appliances, gift certificates and even monetary donations.
Personalizing your own souvenir items is a great way of showing your sincerity. You can provide the specifications and incorporate the wedding’s theme to it. This way, people will know that you have exerted effort and that you have not neglected the help they have extended as well. Thus, if you are heading to this momentous event itself as the bride or the groom, remember that you can provide your guests with a way to remember your day even after years. Once they see the said unique wedding favors, surely it will bring a smile to their faces as they reminisce.
Do care to give unique wedding favors to the men who support you at your wedding. This is your chance to thank them for being there, some support in times of good and bad times; everything you need in a friend is in them. Or would you care to have wedding favors?

The very first wedding was between two cave people who decided that there should be a ceremony and reception. The thinking was that the village (the first ever) always celebrated before and after a hunt. They boogied down deep into the night when the monsoon season ended and they celebrated the birth of the children, so why not celebrate when two cave people decided to move into their first cave and share a life together? Grog wanted to give the guests wedding presents because when they announced the ritual, to be held by the tribe’s holy man; everyone looked at them as if they were crazy and refused to come to the event claiming they had to wash each other’s hair and was way behind in picking bugs off each other.
This is how the very first wedding planner came to be. Winnie’s brother, Rock Stonehead suggested they give gifts to the tribe members who would show up. The problem was what to give. Trog was smart though, and he knew that when lightning struck the beach, the heating of the sand made glass, so he gathered up a bunch of it and picked up some of the shiny rocks that they had found while shopping for a good cave to spend their lives in. Therefore, each guest received glass-wedding favors and the tribe elders received crystal-wedding favors.
Trog and Winnie had a beautiful ceremony under a great tree that provided plenty of shade for the guests. Of course, they had to because the tribe’s holy man was not convinced that moving out of the trees was a good idea and still made his home there. The couple got married but they put their wedding rings through their nose instead of on their fingers. This is because they were still dragging knuckles and the rings kept falling off in the rocks and dirt. Many years later, one of trog and Winnies descendents started the tradition of putting the wedding ring on the finger because they had a cold and did not want to get snot on the ring. They placed it on the finger since their arms had shortened and no longer scraped the ground.
At Trog and Winnies wedding party, now known as a reception, the first thing they did after bandaging their heads was to create music. They had to bandage their heads because they did not have rice to throw back then so they threw sticks and rocks. The first wedding band was formed as the guests started to get bored and were dancing but there was no music. A friend of Trog was tapping on a log when everyone realized it sounded pretty good. After that, several of the tribe was joining in on the fun by beating the trees with the bones of the animals they had for supper the night before. Soon, the reception was really swinging.
Another tradition that was born on that first wedding was the kissing of the bride. Before this, they just went around licking each other’s faces. But Winnie, who loved to eat wild berries was about to open her mouth to speak when Trog went to give her their first lick as a married couple and stuck his tongue in her mouth quite by accident. It tasted so good that soon, everyone was eating berries and “kissing” each other.
The best part was when the couple finally got tired and the fire had burned so low that they could barely see. Trog took his new bride to their new cave to consummate their marriage. Unfortunately, there was no such thing as full disclosure so the cave estate agent that sold Trog and Winnie the cave did not tell them that there was still a saber-toothed tiger living in it and they were both eaten during the night.

We share our happiness with our family and friends. We organize parties to enjoy and to take a break from the monotonous life. Sharing important events like wedding, birthdays, graduation, retirement etc with others can be quite exciting. Expressing our feelings by giving our guest token in the form of party favors is a good mean of showing out love, respect and appreciation towards the party guests. These favors also indicate that we are thankful to them for being a part of our event and making it so memorable. When planning a party it is very important that the party gifts are well thought off and are appropriate for everyone.
Picking the party favor should be as per the occasion and the theme of the party. Depending on the amount of money you are willing to spend these gifts can be either lavish or can be very economical. Just look around and find the best option and ideas for the party gifts.

Some people do not give it enough thought and select general gifts such as candies and other similar stuff for pleasing the guests but giving common gifts do not leave much impact on your guest and they forget about the occasion after sometime. So to keep the memory last forever it is best that you give something that reminds them of the occasion always.
The occasion and the theme of the party should be kept in mind while selecting the gifts. For example for a summer beach bash party offering something related to summers is very good ideal or for parties like Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s Eve you can have something related to winters. Party gifts which suit winters are snowman candles, snowflake ornaments and a beautiful blue gel candle with a snowflake. Such a gift will surely make your guest remember this party forever.
Favors should match the seasons and the theme of the party. There are many online stores that have a wide range of gift items in there store for every occasion. With such wide choices in hand it can be a bit confusing sometimes. Just pick the gift which symbolizes your true feeling.
Things like ring holders, maple leaf soaps, wedding favor fans, delicate shoes embellished cookies, bottle stopper in personality box, spoons in personality box, crystal heart keychain are some admired party favors.
In many special occasion such as weddings, bridal shower, first communions, baptism etc you have to spend more time in picking the right gifts as they are more formal occasions.
Also internet is a huge knowledge bank and when you type in the right keywords you will be amazed to see the various options. It will give you a list of various online stores that have wide variety of gift items for every occasion and just by a click of a button you can have it delivered to your doorstep.

Do you remember as a small child, watching The Little Mermaid or even Beauty and the Beast? As enchanting as these childhood movies were and still are, they had some familiarities. Everyone knows that the Little Mermaid finds love, and of all places it is not under the sea, just like the main character in Beauty and the Beast.
Both of the main characters in these movies meet their very own personal prince charming. Now you know how the plots play out, they fall into forbidden love of sorts, and get married. Now since there are weddings in these two films, how come we never see any bridal shower favors or wedding shower favors? Were these two strikingly and breathtakingly beautiful princesses deprived of a bridal shower? It seems as though old Walt Disney over looked a couple of things while putting these films together.
With Mrs. Tea Pot and Sebastian’s personalities alone, one would normally conclude that surely no stone was left unturned when it came to the timing and planning of the weddings. With movie characters so full of life and energy how could they possibly leave out a bridal shower for their key princesses? I suppose this is not something that children see, or rather don’t see in these films. This is because as we grow older we tend to pay closer attention to the truths in film. I can honestly not think of one single children’s film that has a wedding in it, that actually shows a bridal shower or even mentions one.
Surely if the old philosophy “life imitates art” is true then they should defiantly include something as simple as a bridal shower. I personally can not imagine how something as simple and yet monumental as a bridal shower, was completely left out by the greatest movie makers in all of history. As a child however, I simply did not pay attention to the detail, which is the reason why this little fact did not bother me back then. It is not so much that it bothers me or irritates me now in my adult years, but rather it irritates me by the fact that a company so akin to detail, overlooks and disregards an important one when it comes to fairy tale weddings.
It is not just the bridal showers which they missed. How many films from your childhood that had weddings in them also had bachelor parties in them? I’ll tell you how many, absolutely none! The closest any of us as children ever got to see to bridal or bachelor parties, was in the old Popeye cartoons. Yup that’s right, do you remember Olive being showered with gifts in the episode where Popeye proposed to her? Or how about in that same episode Popeye goes to a boxing match with his friends. These are not actually bachelor or bridal parties and showers; however they are as close as we ever got to seeing them as children.
If you could create your own cartoon with weddings with both bridal showers and bachelor parties in them, how would you go about doing it? Would you make these parties as fairytale like and majestic as the weddings themselves, or would you hint about them and not actually portray them like the Popeye cartoon did? I suppose it is true that some things are to be left to the imagination, especially when it comes to these pre wedding celebrations in childhood films.

You are probably already aware that there are so many things to think about and plans to put into motion when preparing for your wedding day. Nonetheless, it is important that you give some serious thought to what you intend to give as bridesmaid gifts to show your bridesmaids just how pleased you are that they are playing their role in your special day. It is, after all the most important day of your life! Giving gifts in this way is a long established tradition and an important part of any wedding day plan.
Once you really start looking at all of the option for bridesmaid gifts, you will find that there is more out there than you first thought. Selecting the perfect gifts for your bridesmaids may seem overwhelming, but if you simply think about your girls and their likes and dislikes, you should have no problem making the right choice. You want to make sure that the gifts you select not only are pretty and have meaning, but that can also be used by the bridesmaids.
Engraved jewelry boxes, charm bracelets, photo albums, robes and slippers are just a few examples of ideal bridesmaid gifts. On the other hand, some brides prefer to put together a basket of gifts for their bridesmaids, and these could consist of a range of skin care products, fancy soaps, initialed towels or even a local spa pamper day voucher to use at her leisure.
Most of the time, brides chose to give all of the bridesmaids the same gift, with the only variation being the names or initials that are engraved into certain things. Other brides are taking a more modern approach and selecting bridesmaid gifts that are more specific to each bridesmaid. One might receive a beautiful photo album while another might receive a robe set. This is a great way to show that you have really put a lot of thought into the gifts and that you were thinking of them each step of the way.
During the wedding the bride is busy enjoying her day and as soon as the reception is over her and the groom go off on their honeymoon. It’s for this reason that it’s best to give the bridesmaid gifts out prior to the wedding day itself. It is, of course, up to you as the bride exactly when you give your bridesmaids their gifts, but make sure you have a few quiet moments with them when you do so. Setting aside time for them along with the gift you give to them will let them know in no uncertain terms just how much it means to you that they have shared your special day.
bridesmaid gifts have gone customary these days. This is because the groom and the bride thank these girls for being supportive of their wedding. And there is no room for worry as these come in many different varieties these days. Also try choosing some wedding supplies.

Well, you decided to get married away from home. Do both of you have family and friends scattered all over the place? That might not be a bad idea then. After all, if you are going to make them fly, you should let them fly to someplace fun. Besides, you can stay after the wedding and honeymoon. When you both picked Hilton Head you picked it for different reasons. He was thinking of a nice little golf wedding with little golf wedding favors while you were thinking of a beach wedding with little beach wedding favors. Oh my, the fur is going to fly on this!
That is not the first time this has happened and certainly won’t be the last as travel weddings become increasingly popular. In reality, both were very fair assumptions. Golf has become a huge sport for men and women. Beach weddings were really the kick off for the whole travel wedding craze. Since so many great golf destinations are on the beach this was just bound to happen. Which one should you do? Is it going to come down to “Rock, Paper, Scissors?”
Golf weddings are pretty straight forward. Assuming you want to get married on the grounds your in good shape. For one, golf courses frequently host large outside events of all sizes and have tents if needed as well. You are also not going to need to worry about the conditions of the greenery, golf courses are known for keeping them immaculate. So you have your chairs, your tent, and the grass is cut. Depending on where you are they might be able to help you out with more but if not there are always rental companies that rent about anything. Again, because they are used to hosting events you should be able to find a suitable room. Hopefully they can prepare the food for you as well (most big ones can) as well as offer servers and do the clean up. Since it was a golf wedding, work to keep that theme going into the reception and keep it fun.
Beach weddings are so romantic and they give you so many options to make them your own. Beach weddings are like snowflakes, there are no two alike. It is really a matter of taste and imagination. If the wedding is on a public beach and you are not from the area you are almost certainly need the help of a local wedding planner, preferable one that does a lot of beach weddings because of all the little nuances involved. The planner will know the best places and the local ordinances you will need to be concerned about, for example how late you can go and can you have a bon fire.
A few things will apply to all beach weddings. For the bride, forget about the train. With all that sand blowing around you will get enough sand with out dragging a rake behind you. Then there is your hair. The wind never stops blowing on the beach so keep that in mind when you try to decide of a hair style. The groom should forget about a tuxedo unless he just wants to burst into flames. An idea that is not too uncommon is to get married in the water. Not in four feet of water, say your vows in enough water to cover your feet. That rules out the traditional wedding dress and the suit but a really cute idea could be conceived. For laughs, make the guests stand in four feet of water!
Whether you choose golf or beach, they both can be well done. It’s all about what makes the bride and groom happy.

One of the hottest party themes this fall will be the Twilight theme. This party idea is based on the popular book and movie of the same name. They are about the tortured romance between a mortal teenager named Isabella Swan, Bella to her friends, and her vampire lover Edward Cullen. In the book that starts the series Bella leaves sunny Arizona so her mother can start her life with her new husband. Bella goes to live with her father Charlie in gloomy Forks, Washington were the sun rarely shines. It is here that she meets the love of her life only to find out that he is not human and the complications of a love between a human and an immortal soon come in full force.
If you are a “Twi-Hard” this is not news to you as you have probably read the entire series several times and seen the movie as well. What you want to know is how to throw a party that would not only be approved of by fellow fans, but Alice Cullen herself. When planning for this type of party you will need to find great party supplies, favors, and come up with an interesting menu. The great news is that you can draw inspiration from the books and movies for ideas. Here are some to help guide as you plan the ultimate Twilight Bash.
You need to think about your decorations first. The color palette for your party will be red, black, and white as reminiscent of the book covers for the series. So make sure to get the basics in these colors. That means balloons, streamers, twinkle lights, and paper decorations. Also use images from the book covers as you main motifs. These would be the apple, tulip, red ribbon, and chess board pieces. These will make your guests feel as if they stepped into the book covers.
Next think about the atmosphere of the party. The keys to setting the right mood will be music and lighting. For lighting go with candles and try to get them in your party’s colors. You can also go for colored candle holders to add to the mood. The next thing to focus on is the music. Music can make or break a party. An excellent place to start is with the playlist the author of the Twilight series, Stephanie Meyers, used to inspire her as she wrote the book. They are available on her website. Also you can draw inspiration from the movie soundtrack. Also don’t just stop there extrapolate with more of the artists’ work. For example, a song by the band Paramore is the key song for the movie. Try using more of their music. It will add variety but at the same time keep the mood of the party going.
Finally you got to have food. I’ve looked around the net and found a lot of great suggestions. First off this is a vampire romance we are using as our theme so go with red drinks. It can be cool aid, cranberry juice, or grape juice for younger party attendants or red alcoholic drinks for the older crowd. Another great suggestion is to have an ice cream bar with strawberry syrup and red candy toppings. You can also have some key foods mentioned in the book like pizza, lasagna, or mushroom ravioli.

The summer is a very popular time for weddings. In fact June is one of the most popular times of the year for couples to get married. The nice weather is one of the primary reasons that many couples opt for this time of year for their wedding.
There is less of a chance that weather will affect the plans for the wedding and many couples feel confident planning outdoor weddings for this time of the year. However, other couples simply enjoy the summertime and opt to have their wedding at this time of year for that reason alone. Whatever the reason the couple opts for a summer wedding, they are likely to want to incorporate the idea of summer into the wedding favors they distribute.
Beach themed weddings are very popular in the summertime. The couple may be having the ceremony and reception on the beach or they may simply be incorporating a beach theme into an indoor wedding. In both cases, however, the couple will likely opt to give the guests some type of favor related to the beach. Magnets shaped like sandals are a very popular option for weddings this time of year or for wedding featuring a beach theme.
Another great idea for a favor for a summertime wedding is a candle designed to reflect the season. Candles in the shape of seashells or even votive candles in holders designed to look like sand pails are both great ideas. There are even candles in the shape of dolphins and whales available. These may be more expensive but depending on your budget for wedding favors might be a viable option.
Items such as artificial leis or other flowers can also be appropriate as wedding favors for a summer wedding. If you are planning to have flowers as your centerpieces on the tables you may wish to give each of your guests a single flower like the ones used in your centerpieces as a favor. This is a great idea because when you do this your favors will also serve to enhance the dcor at your reception by closely matching the centerpieces.
Giving a fresh flower as a favor is appropriate but you might also opt to give an artificial flower. This is because artificial flowers can be kept by your guests as a memento of your wedding while fresh flowers will likely wilt shortly after the wedding. Some of your guests may dry or press the fresh flowers to create a memento but the majority of them will simply discard the flower once it wilts.
Picture frames are also very popular as wedding favors for summertime weddings. This is because picture frames come in so many different styles that the couple is likely to find a picture frame which has a definite summer feel to it. There are picture frames which feature beach scenes, picture frames which are adorned with seashells and a wide variety of other whimsical picture frames which convey the meaning of summertime.
Picture frames can not only be found in a wide variety of styles but are also very practical gifts. Many wedding guests enjoy receiving picture frames as wedding favors because they now have a place to store a photo of the new couple. Still other wedding guests enjoy receiving picture frames as wedding favors simply because they always have use for another picture frame and can use this frame to store pictures of friends or family members.
